Ingredients

  • Mutton (minced) 2 cup
  • Oil (as required)
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder ½ teaspoon
  • Cardamom seeds
  • Onion (finely chopped) 3
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tablespoons
  • Tomatoes 3 finely chopped
  • Green chilies 2 finely chopped
  • Red chili powder 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder ½ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Whole black peppercorns
  • Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon
  • Mint leaves

Method

  1. Take a wide pan, put sufficient oil in it (as required) and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, peppercorns and cardamom
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté them till they turn brown in color.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, green chili and mix well.
  4. Let the ingredients cook for about 4-5 minutes on medium flame. Add cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt.
  5. Put the flame medium to low. Let everything cook for 6-8 minutes. Add minced mutton and mix it well with the other ingredients. Add sufficient water and cooked till it gets dry.
  6. Add garam masala and mix well. Switch off the flame.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves and serve with bread.
